Diet plays a vital role in hair growth, and according to the University of Maryland Medical Center, many hair loss disorders are directly related to dietary deficiencies including insufficient iron, vitamins A and C, and zinc. Several forms of lettuce are rich in iron, zinc and vitamins A and C. And in Ayurveda, an form of alternative medicine practiced in India, lettuce is considered an effective remedy for hair loss. You can add lettuce to your diet in whole form, or you can combine the lettuce with other vegetables for a vitamin-rich hair tonic.
Rinse the arugula lettuce and spinach under cold water. Set them aside to dry.
Place the measuring cup beneath the juicer outlet. Feed the arugula and spinach into the juicer.
Pour the lettuce and spinach juices into the glass jar. Add the carrot juice and orange juice.
Cover the jar and gently shake the juices until fully mixed. Store the juice in the refrigerator for up to five days.
Drink two 8-oz. glasses of juice each day. Shake the juice before each use.
