Proactiv is a three-step system specifically designed for people with acne-prone skin. Unlike other acne products on the market, Proactiv is designed for both teenagers and adults. The official Proactiv website states that the system clears up your acne and helps prevent the future development of acne. Celebrities and models brag about how effective Proactiv is in commercials. However, if you do not use the system properly, you will not get the results that Proactiv claims you can achieve.

Step 1

Apply a dime-sized amount of the Renewing Cleanser to your face.

Step 2

Rub the cleanser in circles all around your face. Do not press hard, as this will aggravate your skin.

Step 3

Rinse the cleanser off with warm water, or gently rub it off with a warm washcloth. Pat your face dry with a clean towel. Do not use a used towel, as you will only put dirt and bacteria back on your face.

Step 1

Squeeze a small amount of the Revitalizing Toner into a cotton ball after cleansing your face.

Step 2

Rub the cotton ball gently across your face without pressing it too hard into your skin.

Step 3

Let the toner dry on your face before applying anything else. Applying another product too soon does not allow the toner to seep into your pores properly.

Step 1

Apply a small amount of Repairing Treatment, just enough that there is a thin layer across your entire face.

Step 2

Let the moisturizer dry before applying any other product, including makeup.

Step 3

Use sunscreen in place of or before applying the Repairing Treatment. recommends that you use a sunscreen in conjunction with the system, if you are going to be exposed to the sun.
