As with most alcohol, the number of calories in Icehouse beer is partially determined by the alcohol content by volume. That is why Icehouse 5.0 and Icehouse 5.5 have different calorie counts – Icehouse 5.5 has more alcohol and more calories. Icehouse Light has the fewest calories as is expected of light beer.

If you prefer light beer, a typical 12-oz.light beer has 103 calories; Icehouse Light has 123 calories.

Calories from Carbohydrates

Each gram of carbohydrates has four calories. Icehouse 5.0 has almost 9 g of carbohydrates for nearly 35 calories from carbs. Icehouse 5.5 has nearly 10 g of carbs in each bottle, accounting for just more than 39 calories from carbohydrates. Icehouse Light, on the other hand, has less than 7 g of carbohydrates in a bottle for just more than 26 calories from carbohydrates.

Calories From Protein

One g of protein also has four calories, according to MedlinePlus. A bottle of Icehouse 5.0 has 1.2 g of protein for nearly five calories from protein. Each bottle of Icehouse 5.5 has 1.3 g of protein, giving it more than five calories from protein. Icehouse Light has 0.8 g of protein in each bottle, totaling just more than three calories from protein.
