A 250-ml can contains 375 calories and a 1.0-L bottle contains 1,500 calories. As a calorie-dense formula it is meant to help those with volume intolerance or those on a fluid-restricted diet. The carbohydrates in Isosource 1.5 Cal provide the majority of the calories in the tube feeding formula. Maltodextrin and sucrose act as the primary source of carbohydrates in the formula.
