Ingredient List

Kirkland shakes are available in a variety of flavors, including milk chocolate and vanilla, that may change the overall ingredients. However, every Kirkland shake starts with the same base ingredients, including fat-free milk, water and sugar. Artificial sweeteners are used to prevent an excessive amount of carbohydrates and sugars. Various vitamin and mineral ingredients are also added, along with ingredients used for flavoring and preservatives such as cellulose gel, soy lecithin, hydrogenated soybean oil and citric acid.

Ingredients used to create the Kirkland weight-loss shakes function to provide a nutritional meal replacement while reducing the amount of calories consumed. Each shake contains a balance of carbohydrates, fat and protein along with essential vitamins and minerals. Kirkland shakes are 99 percent fat-free with 75 percent of calories coming from carbohydrates and 17 percent from protein.

One 11-ounce serving of a Kirkland shake provides 230 calories with 20 coming from fat. The Kirkland shakes are considered a source of protein with 10 g per serving that provides 20 percent of the daily recommended intake. Specific macronutrient content includes 2 g of total fat with 0.5 g of saturated fat and no cholesterol, and 44 g of total carbohydrates with 4 g of dietary fiber and 38 g of sugars. The fiber in the shake decreases hunger by making you feel fuller longer

The additional ingredients used in Kirkland shakes provide a variety of vitamins and minerals. Each serving supplies 100 percent of the daily recommended intake for vitamin C and vitamin E. Sodium content per serving is 360 mg while potassium content is 670 mg. Other nutrients include calcium, magnesium, folic acid, niacin and thiamin.
