Energy Drinks With No High-Fructose Corn Syrup
Many energy drinks are sweetened with high-fructose corn syrup.

Energy drinks are a popular beverage, providing college students, night-shift workers and busy parents with a needed boost. Their ingredients generally include caffeine and some type of sweetener. That sweetener is often high-fructose corn syrup. There is some controversy regarding the safety of high-fructose corn syrup. You can find varieties that don't have any high-fructose corn syrup if you're trying to avoid it.

Guru

Guru Beverage Co. of New York offers a line of organic energy drinks. They are sweetened with pure sugar-cane juice and do not contain any preservatives, artificial caffeine, artificial vitamins or taurine. Guru also offers a light version with stevia, a natural sweetener. Varieties include original, light, Guru 2.0 and Guru 2.0 Lite.

Pure Bio

Pure Bio Products USA offers a line of natural energy drinks sweetened with unrefined cane sugar. The cane sugar adds minerals including iron, calcium and magnesium. Pure Bio drinks are also USDA-certified organic and contain 10 percent fruit juice for additional sweetness and nutrient value.

Xyience Xenergy

Those who want to avoid both high-fructose corn syrup and cane sugar might want to opt for an artifically sweetened energy drink. Xyience Inc. of Las Vegas retails a line of Xenergy drinks that are sweetened with sucralose. Xenergy drinks are available in flavors including fruit punch, cherry, orange, citrus, guava and cherry-lime.

Rockstar

Rockstar Inc., also of Las Vegas, retails a line of sucrose- and juice-sweetened energy drinks. Rockstar sugar-free and zero-carb drinks contain acesulfame potassium and sucralose.
