A glass of chilled white wine in the warmer months can be the perfect ending to the day. But what isn't so perfect? The hangover that often results from sugary, alcoholic beverages including many wines. (This is where you nod in agreement.)

Luckily, our friends at FitVine Wine have crafted a line of wines that goes through an extended fermentation process, which lowers sugar levels to an average of less than 1.0g of sugar per liter (or ~0.03g to 0.09g per 5 oz glass). It's all part of FitVine's mission to provide amazing wines that fit an active, fit lifestyle. Check out its website to peruse the offerings and get even more info.

In the meantime, here's an easy recipe for a flavorful White Wine Mojito that can be enjoyed without the worry of a sugar hangover:

2 lime wedges
6 mint leaves
1/4 cup soda
3/4 cup FitVine Pinot Grigio

  1. Make sure your bottle of Pinot Grigio is chilled.
  2. Muddle mint leaves in a glass.
  3. Squeeze 2 lime wedges and add remaining ingredients.
  4. Serve immediately.
