Hearing the tom turkeys gobble and watching them strut in the open fields is an annual ritual for spring turkey hunters. After the thrill and excitement of turkey-hunting season, however, it’s time to cook the turkeys. You can find a variety of recipes for wild turkey breasts, but starting the cooking process with a marinade adds flavor to your final product. Marinated turkey breast can be enjoyed in a variety of settings, including a sports event, dinner party or family meal.

Slice the turkey breast into thin, 1/2- to 3/4-inch strips.

Combine the olive oil, wine, lemon juice, salt and black pepper in a bowl and whisk together.

Place the strips of wild turkey breast into the marinade and allow the meat to soak for three to six hours in the refrigerator.

Remove the turkey strips from the marinade and place them on the grill for 15 to 20 minutes, turning occasionally.
