How to Cook a Toupie Ham With Pineapple

Toupie ham gets its moniker from the French word "toupie," which refers to a spinning top, a toy which roughly emulates the shape of the ham. This cut of meat is composed of the entire leg of the ham, and usually comes de-boned and pre-cooked. Adding a flavorful, citrus glaze and cooking the Toupie ham for an additional hour allows the flavor of pineapple to infuse into the meat. The added cooking time also makes the ham's outside a little crisp while the inside remains juicy. Instead of maraschino cherries, try placing red grapes into the center of your pineapple rings.
